AmSU Philological department hosted the festival "Original Russia: Images, Symbols, Traditions"

The festival "Original Russia: Images, Symbols, Traditions" has completed its work at the Department of Philology. Its participants were Russian students and students of the Preparatory Department for Foreign citizens. An extensive cultural program, friendly communication, a keen interest in the original Slavic culture helped to unite students from different countries and nationalities.

Marina Kuroyedova, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Language, Communication and Journalism, Head of the Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens, spoke at the grand opening of the event.

Participating students got acquainted with Gzhel painting at the master class "Russian folk crafts", Russian and foreign students got acquainted with the Byzantine and Old Russian styles of Russian temple architecture at the quiz "Orthodox Russia", also students took part at «poetry evening». The master classes "Russian Folk Song" and "Russian Folk Dance" aroused great interest among the participants.

The Department of Russian Language, Communication and Journalism sincerely thanks all the students of the Departmennt of Philology and the Preparatory Department for Foreign citizens for participating in the festival. Special words of gratitude go to the students of group 098-ob for creative discoveries, organization and holding of all events.
