Alexei Khmelev, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information, became the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship of the Russian Federation. The scholarship was awarded to the young man according to an order signed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on August 8

The Presidential Scholarship of the Russian Federation is awarded to undergraduate, master and doctoral students who have made outstanding achievements in their studies and scientific research. And the winner of the All-Russian and International Olympiads, creative competitions, festivals, etc.

Alexei Khmelov majored in applied mathematics and informatics. The young man has won numerous International Mathematical Olympiads and won first place in the 2022 Young Professionals University Championships for Machine Learning and Big Data Competencies. Alexei has twice received the N. N. Muravyov-Amursky scholarship in 2021 and 2022.
