The International Olimpiad on the Evenk and the Orochon Languages and Cultures “TUREN” will take place in the Amur State University on September 14 – 19, 2020. This contest has become a traditional event for the Evenks of Russian and the Orochons of China. This time it will be arranged in the on-line mode. The Amur State University and the Department of Nationalities and Religion in the Government of Heihe city will host the contest and broadcast the off-line events.
Apart from the on-line languages testing and interview, the contestants and guests will participate in the concert of artistic folk groups with traditional Evenk and Orochon dances and songs.
The event will gather children and adults from the Amur Region, Khabarovsk Krai, the Republic of Sakha Yakutia and Buriatia, Zabaikalsk and Krasnoyarsk, Saint Petersburg, and the Chinese province of Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia of China.
