Representatives of AmSU held a seminar on Chinese culture for employees of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex

Amur Gas Chemical Complex is a joint project of the Russian petrochemical holding SIBUR and the leading energy and chemical company of China Sinopec. Project implementation involves close professional collaboration, dialogue and partnership between employees of Russian and Chinese companies.

The event was organized by request of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex, whose project team includes representatives from different countries.

On June 11, the territory of the complex was visited by the rector of AmSU Andrey Plutenko, deputy head of the International Office Anna Titova, senior lecturer of the Chair of Sinology Yulia Sukhina and associate professor of the Chair Marina Khaymurzina.

Representatives of the university gave three lectures. The speakers ' speeches were devoted to the peculiarities of the religious worldview in China, Chinese traditions of hospitality and national peculiarities of business communication.

A project group of leaders of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex, including General Director Aleksey Vereshchagin, attended lectures, that were given by representatives of AmSU. About 120 employees joined the seminar by videoconferencing.

In the future the seminar can be transformed from a single event into a series of travelling seminars or remote events. At these meetings, the staff of the AmSU will continue to give lectures on other features of Chinese culture.

The Amur Gas Chemical Complex will become one of the largest production facilities in the world. Its construction will require the involvement of huge resources and foreign specialists. As part of the project, special attention is paid to organizing comfortable work in a multinational team and achieving mutual understanding among employees. “Currently, we are considering the possibility of organizing events for foreign employees, which will help them get acquainted with the rules, norms and traditions adopted on the territory of the Russian Federation," said Sergey Anokhin, Senior manager of the Protocol and Corporate Services division of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex.
