    On February 5, the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Novosibirsk, Dr. Peter Blomayer, visited the Amur State University.
Dr. Blomayer met with President of AmSU, Andrey Plutenko. The parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of science and education.

    The meeting was also attended by Olga Morozova, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, Natalya Royba, Head of the International Affairs Office, and Lyubov Yatsevich, Head of the Research Department. In particular, Olga Nikolaevna noted the university's readiness to interact with foreign colleagues in the field of preserving the culture and language of the indigenous minorities of the North, and Lyubov Yatsevich spoke about academic exchanges of teachers and students in the field of studying and teaching the German language.

    Peter Blomayer noted that one of the priority tasks of the Consulate General in Novosibirsk is to strengthen scientific and educational ties between universities in Russia and Germany. Dr. Blomayer stressed that the Consulate General can assist the university in establishing and strengthening cooperation with representatives of various German scientific centers, institutions and organizations.

    The Consul General also visited the exhibits of several halls of the scientific museum of the AmSU and other places significant for the university. In particular, Peter Blomayer visited the Amur Mission Control Center, the Department of Launch and Technical Missile Systems, the Exhibition Hall of Rocket and Space Technology, the Hall of Archeology and Ethnography of the Scientific Museum of the AmSU and the “Russian Harbin” Hall. In the last hall, Dr. Blomayer was awaited by Russian students who study German. They were able to hear authentic German speech and ask the Consul General their questions.
