An open day was held at the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education of AmSU. The event was attended by 9th grade students of general education schools, their parents and teachers.
In total, more than 130 people attended the open day, including students from schools in Blagoveshchensk, Blagoveshchensk Municipal District and other municipal districts of the Amur region.
The event traditionally started with a welcoming speech given by the Dean of the faculty Inna Makarova. Then the executive secretary of the AmSU admissions committee Lyubov Romanova introduced future applicants to the procedure and rules of admission.
The open day was held in a new format – after an official part of the event, organizers immersed school students in a real university student life – school students attended lectures and practical classes in specialties of interest, which were conducted for them by teachers of the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education.
A meeting with the administration of the university and the executive secretary of the admissions committee was organized for parents and school representatives in the assembly hall. The meeting told about educational programmes, admission and education requirements, terms of education, organization of educational process, requirements for settling in dormitory, and answered questions of interest.
During the break between classes, volunteers gave school students a tour of the faculty. The guests of the open day had the opportunity to learn about studying at The Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education from current students.
At the end of the event, a concert of creative teams of the faculty was held in the assembly hall. After that, guests got acquainted with representatives of the Student Council of the faculty, learned about their activities, implemented projects and events.
